Today the Government announced that we are moving into the delay phase of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
If you have a new continuous cough OR high temperature (37.8 degrees or higher) you should stay at home for 7 days. Read the full guidance here.
Please do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital and you do not need to contact 111 to tell them you're staying at home. Testing for coronavirus is not needed if you're staying at home.
Use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service if:
- you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home
- your condition gets worse
- your symptoms do not get better after 7 days
Only call 111 if you cannot get help online.
Commenting on this new guidance, Richard said: "It is important that we all follow this guidance to protect ourselves and others."
