Later today, Richard will attend the County of Bedfordshire's Service of Thanksgiving to celebrate the life of His Royal Highness, which will be held in the presence of HM Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire, the High Sheriff of Bedfordshire and civic leaders.
The service will be held at St Paul's Church, Bedford and will be led by the Bishop of Bedford along with representatives from faith groups across Bedfordshire.
The Service will be streamed live via You Tube at https://youtu.be/u2pGGiBRcw0 and an edited version will be available to view after the Service. This means that, although many people will not be able to attend the service in person due to Covid19, the County will be able to join together virtually to celebrate and give thanks for Prince Philip's life.
Speaking ahead of the service, Richard said: "Prince Philip contributed so much to our country during his long and distinguished life and we come together in Bedfordshire today to pay tribute to his service, the good causes that he promoted and, of course, his devotion and support to Her Majesty The Queen."
