Today the Chancellor presented his Spending Review to the House of Commons which sets out the government's spending for the year ahead.
After his speech, Richard took the opportunity to stress the importance of protecting incentives for those who invest and grow in businesses.
Commenting, Richard said: " The Chancellor was right to say in his Spending Review that the spending announced today is secondary to "the courage, wisdom, kindness and creativity it unleashes... which cannot be mandated or distributed by Government.”
"The private sector and businesses will respond to what he has announced today with job creation and boosting the economy so I took the opportunity to ask the Chancellor to protect the incentives for those who invest and grow in those businesses and I was pleased with his positive response."
