Last week Richard attended a UK Hospitality event in Parliament.
Speaking afterwards, Richard Fuller MP said:
Some of the discussions around the impact of the budget measures were quite chastening. Remember, this is a sector that took a terrible beating during Covid and was still struggling to recover.
The overriding sense at the event was that the increases in National Insurance Contributions will inevitably lead to reduced investment, business failures and job losses.
I hope the Chancellor will reconsider some of the choices made both before and during the budget, and act to rebuild business confidence, in the hospitality sector and more widely.
