Richard Fuller MP and National Highways

Richard met with National Highways in Parliament following his letter last month about A1 improvements in light of expected house building at Tempsford.

Summarising the meeting, Richard Fuller MP said:

I had a timely opportunity recently to catch up with the leadership at National Highways.

Top of the list was an update on progress at Black Cat roundabout where construction is on schedule. I accepted an invitation to visit the works later in the Spring.

I raised two potential local projects that would have a significant impact on our local roads: the proposed new town at Tempsford and the proposed theme park at Kempston Hardwick. My view is that the already too long delayed upgrade to the A1 in Bedfordshire MUST be brought forward with specific plans if either, or both, of these two developments progress.

Residents in Sandy and Biggleswade, Upper Caldecote and Beeston have waited long enough for a smart resolution to these A1 problems.
