Thursday, 13 May, 2021

This week, Richard spoke in the House of Commons in the second day of debate on the Queen's Speech which outlined the Prime Minister's bold ambition to build back better from the pandemic and to press forward with his Global Britain ambitions.

Richard Fuller, Member of Parliament for North East Bedfordshire said:

I particularly welcome the shift to recognise more broadly the potential of young people in the Queen's Speech.

By raising the profile of skills and recognising that learning is a lifelong endeavour, this Conservative government will make a major contribution to giving everyone the boost needed to achieve their ambitions. I called on the government to extend this further by incorporating creative, commercial and artistic potential in a fully comprehensive Opportunity Fund to unlock talent.

Richard's full contribution to the debate can be watched here.
