Thursday, 10 June, 2021

This week, Richard asked Minister Paul Scully MP from the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to join him in congratulating Biggleswade Job Centre on their work in promoting the government's Kickstart Programme.

Richard said:

This Kickstart scheme provides funding to create new jobs for 16 to 24 year olds for employers of all sizes. Funding covers 100% of the National Minimum Wage, for 25 hours per week for a total of 6 months.

This scheme is a great way to get young people into work and I encourage local employers to use it and I thank the local DWP team in Biggleswade for all that they are doing to help young people get into work.

Applications for employers to take advantage of this scheme are open until the end of 2021 calendar year.
