On Wednesday, Richard took part in a litter pick in Fairfield with Councillor Vinesh Khatwa from the Parish Council. Richard helped with picking up litter in the Urban Park and spoke to passing local residents.
Richard, MP for North East Bedfordshire which covers Fairfield said:
I spent a hot, but rewarding time litter-picking in Fairfield yesterday organised by the local Parish Council.
My thanks to Councillor Vinesh and the rest of the team for inviting me along and for all the good work they do for the village.
Richard is taking part in a number of litter picks around the constituency as part of The Great British Spring Clean which is taking place until 13 June. It is not too late to get involved and pledge some time to litter picking in your local community. For more information, please visit the Keep Britain Tidy website.
The Parish Council and Community Hall has a team known as the 'Fairfield Wombles' that regularly help with picking up litter. If you are a local resident and would like to join them, please send an email to admin@fairfieldcommunityhall.co.uk.
