It's World Book Day today and it's a great celebration of reading and the variety of books on offer to children. Many schools will be celebrating World Book Day today by allowing pupils to come to school as their favourite literary character, so whether you're going to school dressed as Harry Potter, Matilda or the Gruffalo, please do get involved with this celebration of all things book!
Richard attended the launch of World Book Day in Parliament and at the event, he said: "I’m delighted to support this year’s World Book Day which is encouraging parents and carers to read to their children for ten minutes a day, every day and inspire a love of reading and a love of books and of course boost a child’s literacy levels and creativity."
